There are times when an ET installation will fail to install the Caterpillar Comm Adapter properly.

In order to fix this you must do the following:

Step 1: Click on your windows start menu and navigate to Control Panel > Programs and Features and uninstall the Caterpillar Comm Adapter 3, you will likely find that you need to do this via your admin account.

Step 2: Copy the software to their computer.

Step 3: Make sure you are logged in on the users account (not your admin) and shift right click the software and click Run as a different user, now run it with your admin account.
