CAT CTSi - Custom Track Service

Custom Track Service (CTSi) is an undercarriage management software application for Caterpillar dealers. Users can take measurements from an ultrasonic wear indicator and upload the measurements to calculate percent worn and projected life of undercarriage components.

Step 1: Add the user profile as a local admin on the computer, install the software under their profile. * Note, the install may look like it has stalled, but it likely hasn’t, it’s about a 10-15min install.

Step 2: Navigate to the “Computer Management” application and add the user to the ORA_DBA group.

Step 3: Run the software and click to Yes to “Would you like to backup your database?”. Click on “Download Master Data for 5.7 Data Conversion”, once that’s done, click “Download New User Profile”.

Step 4: Select the user from the “Login ID” section and click the “Login” button. It uses their CWS credentials, if it doesn’t work you will need to contact your companies CTSi admin. 

Step 5: Remove their local admin access.

Step 6: Once logged into the application, click on the Admin Tab and select “Download Equipment”. This is a very slow download, it can take 4-8 hours, the user will need to leave the application running.
